Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, Kolkata organized integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM) training to equip the students and teachers with invaluable tools for mental well-being.  

As Amma beautifully articulates, “Meditation is not just the closing of the eyes. It is the opening of the heart.” 

In the fast-paced environment of college life, meditation has become increasingly essential for students. It offers a sanctuary for quiet reflection, stress reduction, and enhanced focus. Regular practice of Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique has shown to bring about numerous benefits, fostering emotional resilience, improved concentration, and a heightened sense of well-being.  

“The session was very encouraging and allowed both the students and the teachers to understand how stress affects us in negative ways especially in academics. The practical session of meditation was very helpful and I felt an elevation in mental and physical energy while practicing IAM technique. It boosts alertness and increased enthusiasm. I am happy that I came to know the kindness and charisma of Amma which is beyond imagination and the blessings of Amma through the wonderful video gave a special touch to the whole session. Above all, the dedication and tireless effort of the instructor to make the session successful is really appreciable.” said Dr. Anindita Mukherjee, Faculty , Department of Chemistry, Vijaygarh Jyotish ray college.. 

According to the students, amidst the academic hustle, IAM meditation was a breath of fresh air. They all were happy that they could experience more centred, focused, and calm after the session.
