Narendra Modi Medical College in Gujarat organized Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM) Workshop to their Doctors, Medical Students and Nurses. The initiative aimed at reducing stress levels among the participants and encouraging them to recommend IAM practice to their patients for a better lifestyle and improved health.

Dr. Prashant Mukadam stated, “IAM practice must be incorporated in the medical field for both mental and physical health. Integrating this practice along with medication alone can cure the diseases permanently. Thanks, Amma and all the stars of Her sky for enlightening us.”

Brahmacharini Amritatmika Chaitanya and Brahmacharini Niseema, certified IAM instructors from Amrita University, conducted the workshop. IAM20 is tailored for busy professionals and can be easily integrated into daily routines. Research indicates that those who regularly practice IAM meditation respond positively and calmly to high-stress conditions at the workplace.

IAM Technique is a simple yet powerful meditation technique combining yoga, breathing exercises, visualization, and pranayama, requiring just 20 minutes of daily practice to foster inner peace and well-being. IAM20 is specially designed for busy professionals with time constraints.

IAM is a scientifically proven technique, with research revealing that regular practitioners of IAM20 experience lower levels of stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, with positive effects lasting up to eight months. Additionally, numerous immunological benefits are observed. Other benefits include improved concentration, relaxation, expansive thinking, and heightened awareness, all contributing to increased employee productivity.

“The IAM Workshop was very good. I could really feel the calmness within. It is truly said that the peace depends entirely on mind and not on the outside circumstances. I will surely integrate this practice into daily routine and I am sure that this will help me manage stress in academics and profession”, said a Medical Student.

Amma says, “The remote control of our mind should rest firmly in the palm of our hand.”

We are grateful for the opportunity to share IAM with the dedicated Doctors and Medical students at Narendra Modi Medical College and look forward to witnessing the positive impact of this practice in their professional and personal lives.
