For the first time in Kuwait,over 27 yoga and meditation enthusiasts were brought on one platform during Kuwait Yoga Meet-2018, irrespective of their caste, creed, religion or gender. This unique event was a pre-cursor to International Yoga Day that is going to be celebrated in June 2018. Sessions started 7:00 in the morning with Yoga & Meditation Workshop conducted by Brahmachari Amit from Mata Amritanandamayi Math India, who was the Guest of Honor during Kuwait Yoga Meet. As part of this workshop, Brahmachari Amit shared his insights into Yoga and Meditation, and also taught the Integrated Amrita Meditation technique to a group of pre-registered yoga & meditation aspirants, which included people from both Kuwaiti and Expatriate community.
During the evening session, adults and kids participated in the Common Yoga Protocol demonstration. Presentations by various Yoga schools and partner organizations in Kuwait were followed by a splendid cultural event portraying Indo Kuwait cultural fusion. Brahmachari Amit, Yoga Meditation Instructor and disciple of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, also delivered an expert talk on the subject of Yoga and Meditation in the light of Amma’s teachings.
Ambassador of India to Kuwait, His Excellency Sri Jeeva Sagar, addressed the gathering and emphasized on the need for the Indian and Kuwaiti cultures to come together. He spoke about the role of yoga and meditation in bringing two cultures together.
