The Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique virtual workshop organized by the Office of youth empowerment Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus on the Indian Independence day, 15 August was special due to the participation of Shri K Bhaskara Rao, commanding officer in charge, CRPF F221 battalion, Amritapuri, in charge of Amma ’s security. It is inspiring to witness how IAM touches the inner self of leaders like him who has been practicing IAM regularly now. He also referred the IAM workshop to colleagues and family who joined later workshops. Nitin Kumar, researcher at the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications commented that the combination of physical exercises and meditation in IAM is best suited for the modern age when we have very little time to spare for ourselves. Other participants including Gayatri Vijayakumar, Alumni of Amrita School of Biotechnology Krishnan B – Program Officer, Amrita Center for International Programs – ACIP , Chindu P, HR professional from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ms Anita from Tattva Yoga – Bangalore, Kalyani Ajayan PhD scholar at the IISER Tirupati appreciated this unique meditation practice which was simple and effective.
